Minecraft Pocket Edition Changes on the Way

Mojang's successful construction/adventure PC game Minecraft made it onto the iOS and Android platforms after much anticipation. However, many fans were left disappointed that this portable edition seemed a little limited in comparison to the PC version, especially as PC's Creation Mode is the only aspect of Minecraft included in the iOS and Android versions.

It seems that the Minecraft team have been listening to concerns though, as the new blog posted by Mojang details what they are planning on bringing to the Pocket Edition soon. Fans should expect:

A new file system.
Item system to be able to pick up items.
An inventory system.
Mobs-Animals and enemies.
Optimizing rendering code.
Clean up of code and overall optimisation.

There has been no date announced as to when players will see these changes be put into place as of yet, but I'm sure there are plenty of people who are pleased with these changes.
