Skyrim Patch Causes Problems

Bethesda released it's anticipated Update 1.2 patch for Skyrim on Wednesday, but many fans are reporting brand new bugs to replace the ones that were fixed.
These include character resistances, such as resistance to fire and ice, and some effects are no longer working for some. Some players have also noticed that dragons are now flying backwards, which makes combating them incredibly difficult.

Bethesda said the following in response:
"We all know this is a huge game, and everyone has a different experience. We'll continue to do everything we can to make the game better and better for as many people as possible every day. We've also realized that with the millions upon millions of people playing Skyrim, we need to treat our updates with greater care. If we get too aggressive trying to fix a minor issue, we run a risk of breaking something larger in a game like this."

These issues seem to be affecting both the Xbox 360 and PS3 editions at present. If this concerns you too much, you could hold off on patching your game until the next update is released, but Xbox 360 fans will not be able to be signed into Xbox Live whilst playing Skyrim if they decline the update. However, the choice is up to you.
