Nintendo have confirmed that the highly anticipated Wii U will be released in Europe, Australia, US and Japan before Christmas 2012.
According to Official Nintendo Magazine UK, Nintendo President Satoru Iwata stated that the Wii U will be released for the "year-end season", so expect a big Christmas release then perhaps?
So in the meantime, enjoy the countless bits of news regarding this upcoming console as we count down to the big day.
I just have my fingers crossed that this isn't Nintendo scrambling to get the console out early. When we all assumed it was set for a 2013 release, this news is a touch concerning.

On the other hand, a Wii U for Christmas? Yes please :D
